Hardwick Hall Reveal Plans For £350,000 Refurbishment
One of the North East's leading country house hotels - Hardwick Hall in Durham, is re-designing and re-decorating all its' rooms with a major £350,000 re-fit. Plans for the 51- room hotel involve improvements made to all the bedrooms, boardrooms and bars, as well as a complete facelift for one of its main function rooms - The Coleman Suite.
The four- star Hardwick Hall Hotel, which belongs to Ramside Estates, is set in County Durham's Hardwick Country Park. For four years consecutively the AA Rosette rated hotel, has won Trip Advisor's Excellence Award.
Plans to breathe new life into the Coleman Suite include a £150,000 re-vamp to the interiors, which involves cosmetic decoration, along with replacing the carpets and existing furniture. The suite which can hold 400 people is very popular for weddings and private events.
“We are very excited about this renovation which we are sure will be appreciated by our guests,” said Lee Kirtland, General Manager at Hardwick Hall.
“It means that there will be even more reason to visit Hardwick, no matter if you’re an overnight guest, popping in for a drink or a meal or are hosting a wedding or a business conference with us.”
The hotel is known for hosting large - scale balls, with the Lobster Ball attracting over 1000 guests on a yearly basis. The planned renovation work is expected to last 3 months.
