This opulent example of Baroque architecture, commands stunninng views over Cologne cathedral, in the heart of the sophisticated Rhineland District in Germany. Designed by Thomas H Althoff, it took direct inspiration from the Palais de Versailles.
Its 3 Star Michelin restaurant Vendome, named after Place Vendome in Paris, has been given the enviable status of one of the best restaurants in Germany. The dishes here are as crafted and opulently dressed as the dining room and public rooms. Head Chef Joachim Weissler does it justice, with a smattering of stylish plates executed with curated style and delectably delicious.
